Just no need to learn really. Even though a few of my mates have passed their test for a while now, they still catch the bus/train. For me, its as simple as paying £2 a day to get dropped outside uni, and back again.

Obviously I realise the freedom a car brings though, and both my brother and sister passed when they were 17. So its time for me to play catchup :)

Automatic: As soon as I could reach the pedals, (11 or 12, I think). But I already had a fair bit of skill, as my grandparents used to have a golf cart that my brother and I would drive all over the property. (Miss those days. :tear:)

I was 16 when I learned to drive a straight.

:icon32:

License of course was acquired at 18. Could have gotten it a year or so sooner but was a lazy bum and didn't work up the energy to make a trip to the DMV... :o!

I'm 19 and I still don't have mine... don't really need it. So far, I can hitch rides with my buddies or take public transportation to anywhere I'd ever want to go in a normal day. I'm trying to save up money to buy a bunch of expensive shiet for myself so if I had to pay to keep up a car as well then it might not go so well. I'll probably get it pretty soon though cuz I'm gunna be going to college in the fall and I figure I'll be moving out around then and having a car would be good. I have driven a few times though.. I learned to drive a forklift before a car... that kinda fucked me up :olo: Everything on a car is backwards from a forklift... well not everything, just the steering tires, but that's a pretty big thing to get used to. Plus you can whip shitties on a forklift no problem... not so in a car.
