You have no idea what cars I have driven and you have no idea what a fast car is. Your VW isn't fast, and why the hell would you compare your turbocharged car to an all motor Honda? Why not compare to a turbo civic and you'll realize that even on stock internals, any cheap civic with a turbo will rape your S3. Does that mean that a civic is a better car? No. It just means that your car is slow.

and I WAS comparing my car to a civic, I have done throughout this entire thread, genius. A civic is 192bhp, mine is 300. A civic is fwd, mine is awd. A civic has shitty suspension and flightless steering. Mine has koni coilovers. A Civic has a piddly 190-odd lb-ft of torque. Mine has well over 300. A civics 0-60 is 6.6 seconds, mine is under 6. A civics top speed is 140-odd, and i've had 160 out of mine.

Don't tell me my car is slow when you don't even know who makes it, and especially when you've admitted to never even SEEING one before

Obviously you've missed the part where I said turbo. Your car has forced induciton, the Civic is all motor. Fuck it, even an all motor civic with a proper swap and enough engine work will rape your car on the 1/4 mile. But thats expensive. A turbo is cheaper and you can easily get 300whp (about 330 or more bhp) out of a honda b-series (Integra) or way more from a turbo k-series (RSX-S). Since it weighs a lot less than your heavy Audi (not VW, sorry, I forgot that your car is 5 years old) then it will be easy to beat your car with even less power. So don't compare your 1.8T to an all motor Civic, thats apples and oranges. So what 4 cylinder all motor engine does VW/Audi have? The 115bhp 2.slow

Keep in mind that you were comparing your car to Civics... not S3s to Civics. An S3 is NOT 300 hp, nor would I consider it a performance car. Just because yours is quick doesn't mean it's better than a VTEC.
That said, I'd still rather have an Audi over a Honda.

VW owns many companies, not limited to audi. I figured you'd get my veyron reference, since the engine is made from 2 audi v8's. Audi also own bently bugatti lamborghini seat skoda, and another company I can't remember. They also share a lot of ventures with porsche(The first porsche designer made the first VW beetle). But that's not what you said. You said you forgot that the S3 was made by audi, because you forgot that it was a 5 year old model, implying that the S3 is now a VW car. Before this thread started you didn't even KNOW what an S3 was. You don't own a single performance car, and you don't even work in the automotive industry. but after a little bit of research on the net, which is clearly all you've done, yuo're suddenly an expert on a car you admit to never having even SEEN.

Just off the top of my head, I've driven a cayanne S, a 911, a clio sport 172, a clio sport 182, a v6 clio sport, audi s3, s4, s8(d3), a lancia delta integrale, tommy makinen evo 6, evo 8, civic type r, bmw m3, 120d, z3 m series, z4, 316i, 330ci, ford focus rs, golf gti, r32, skyline r33 and god knows how many other cars. I nearly had a chance to drive an ariel atom a few months ago.

come back when you've actually DRIVEN or better yet OWNED a performance car. I'll tell you individual quirks about any of the cars I've mentioned, the kind of thing you can't get from anecdotes and reviews you read on little ricer forums.

All I ever did was compare my car to a civic. I just said that S3's were also generally better cars, because that's plain fact. In terms of power increase, 99.9% of my straight line power comes from a software upgrade.
