I hate grinding. But I was refering to the people who claim their lives are completely packed full of honorable, worth-while tasks.

My honourable tasks include working and spending time with corporeal friends.
Also, I do work around the house, and stil play a few video games now and then.

Corporeal...never heard that word used before. Thanks for expanding my vocab.

Huh? You've never heard the word corporeal before?
Dude, drop the WoW and go to school.

Nope. I do go to school but it's Devry so I didn't learn much. I should have transferred to a better school but I graduate in 3 months so why bother at this point?

Sorry, but you should have learned corporeal WAY before DeVry. 8th grade or so, IMO.

WoW isn't bad as far as the time committment if your guild has beat all of the endgame instances. My guild was clearing MC in less than 2 hours, BWL in under 4 hours and we did ZG casually. There were basically 2 nights that we would raid on and the raids never took all night. Onyxia was a quick 10 minute ordeal unless we split up into 3 15-man raids to kill her and even then it would only take probably 30 minutes.

The time invested in learning and beating encounters though is where you really end up investing the time.

How much time do you have invested into your character?

Transient wrote:I generally try not to get into MMOs this far into their life. There's a ton of stuff to get caught up on and used to. Right now I'm waiting for a few games to get into open beta to try out:

RF Online
Tabula Rasa
The Chronicles of SpellBorn

SpellBorn seems to be the most interesting and innovative, plus I like the art style the most. It looks to borrow from WoW in that department, but I don't mind.
I'm currently playing the RF Online beta, it owns.
Currently Bellato on Spirit but i will most likely be going Cora when they wipe beta.

There is some guy out there who levels characters on new servers and tries to do in the least amount of time possible. I think his record was like 5 days played.

and you don't have a problem with that. That's 76 days, as in 1842 hours of gaming time.
That is way too much time to spend with 1 single game.

Yeah, it interfered with other things in my life at times and I recently quit because the I really didn't think it was worth it.

The problem is that you started just showing up without any joy for playing the game and just hoping to get through it fast as possible. This would happen every time just after I would beat the new content.

Bullshit.. 2 hours to CLEAR MC? Not possible, theres an hour of downtime just for mana users drinking.. BWL in 4? Bullshit, thats still 2 days to finish in 3-4 hour chunks with guilds who are really farming it.. Ony i can almost see in 15 min, with a full raid.. but not with under 35..

I dont doubt you were running them, but your exagerating (sp) like hell on time to CLEAR those instances
