I expected Gladiator quality, but was hugely disappointed. Too bad, it had a lot of potential, but neither Bloom nor the script could carry the weight of the epic.

Zoo 5/10
--happy now?
Documentary about a group of people who have sex with horses. Deals with the particular case in 2005 of
one guy in the group "
who had a prolific collection of horse sex videos under the name "Mr. Hands." One warm July day, while receiving sex from a stallion so terribly, yet aptly named "Bullseye," received fatal anal injuries and died. "because of that incident, it is
now a class C felony to have sex with animals in Washington.
One person has already been charged under this law because his wife took a photos of him having sex with a dog.
Its pretty fucked up.
( My rating is
not based on the subject matter, the story is quite interesting, though
profoundly disturbing ....it just isn't very well done. )

I understand directors wanting to make a movie arround "snuff movies" like 8mm, but what kind of stupid fucking idiot wants to make a movie about horsefuckers? No really. The real doll movie makes more sense than this.

City of God- 10/10
Awsome movie. It was about this slum in Rio, and it tells the stories of all the different people living their. Alot of people said it was like the brazilian version of Goodfellas, but I actually liked it alot more.
Videodrome - 8/10
A fucked up movie about this sleazy guy who runs a cable porn station and starts broadcasting this pirated show called Videodrome. He starts having all these weird hallucinations and stuff including a vagina growing out of his stomach and a gun that melds into skin with his hand (a "hand gun"). Then, the executives of the show program him to be their assassin by putting tapes in the vagina.

The War on Democracy - John Pilger - 7/10
covers the rise of popular democracy in latin america, specifically venezuela and bolivia, with a potted history of how evil america really hates democracy and freedom. familiar territory and approach to anyone who knows pilger's docs, but pretty good
some of the interviewees' lying bullshit has to be heard to be believed

The Simpsons movie 7/10
Made me laugh a few times, pretty funny. Basically just a long episode though, don't expect too much.

Breach - 8/10 - the story of robert hansson, the worst traitor in US history apparently. told the basic story, but didn't even speculate as to why he did it. nevertheless, good movie

Althogh it borrowed quite heavily from both 2001 and Event Horizon it was unique enough to be quite enjoyable IMO.
from what i've read it borrows from quite a lot of movies and has some direct quotes:
solaris, 2001, event horizon, alien, pitch black, etc ...
haven't seen it though ~ gonna do so soon

yah..it was the creepiest Doc. I'd ever seen. I felt kinda sorry for the actors who had to re-create some of the scene's. How do you put that on a resume?

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Turd Burglar: 3/10. Terrible. Stick to the characterizations found in the source material and find a real director ffs.

The Hills Have Eyes (remake) 3/10
I would give it a two since it really is a very, very bad film, but i have to give it one bonus point for the beginning, which is in fact excellent... a few minutes of perfect cult stuff right there. Alas, apparently they could not maintain this so it's all downhill from there.

I honestly thought the Hills Have Eyes remake was a pretty good film and since I'm a horror movie savant that pretty much means I'm right and both of you are wrong.
