Equilibrium - 7/10 - based on a flawed premise, but good cult movie stuff, and the fight scenes are neat

Transformers - 8/10
Should get a 9 because of Megan Fox...
Good film, the Transformers made me laugh alot, which was odd, but i think Mr Bay did a fine job. Not enough of the original transform noise and some of the things that people turned into sucked (Megatron not a gun, WTF?) but overall a really good film. Definatly one for HD

Run Fatboy Run 8/10
A great little film, funny in spots, a little boring in a few, but still good to see that Simon Pegg can pretty much do anything, and by that I mean he can be funny even when hes trying not to be. I know the ending was obvious and the whole thing never surprised me once where it went, but it was still a good flick and a good watch.

Ugh. God no, it's the usual Tarantino bollocks. The man is such an over-rated hack.

You are so factually incorrect.
From Dusk Til Dawn is 100% class.

FDTD is only written by Tarantino. It was directed by Robert Rodriguez.
Regardless, it's brilliant you stupid redneck.

Do try and develop a bit of a more sophisticated palate when it comes to film, my good chap. Your plebian tastes are boorish and common.

both of them are overrated and granted, tarantino's stuff is all magpie cut'n'paste - but they've also been two of the most creative, influential and watchable directors going for the last decade or so.

tarantino, yes. rodriguez, no. sin city, desperado, and from dusk till dawn are decent; but planet terror, spy kids, once upon a time in mexico, etc., are complete crap.

my mates kids love the sky kids series, and marking down everything someone's achieved for a few duds is just retarded.
haven't seen planet terror yet. just finished deathproof and it was naff, but that doesn't mean everything else tarantino's done is as well.

I plan on seeing both Planet Terror and Deathproof, but I really think that Tarantino's a hack, and a mediocre actor to boot. Kill Bill? Fucking come on! What schlock. Nothing but average fight choreography and spurting blood. And I liked that movie! His only worthy effort was Pulp Fiction, which imo was excellent. Engaging story, great dialogue, very effective use of temporal shifting, and gore in spots where it really had punch.

Sure, Jackie Brown sucked. Kill Bills and Four Rooms were arguably good, but a matter of taste.
But:
Pulp Fiction
True Romance
Reservoir Dogs
Natural Born Killers
Sin City (guest director)
I mean, come on. What a fucking resume.
