These shadows on the floor are nice. I looked at the other screenshots on your site before I read your full post and first thing I thought was "it is too dark". I know the map's theme is "darkish and moody" as you said but I think there should be at least some more light sources.
Maybe it is just me..:) Still looking awesome.

@cityy, yep the lighting is very hit or miss. I have 3 monitors at home and it looks amazing on 2 and completely black rubbish on the 3rd. Some people are going to love it for mood and lighting, others will just think it is too dark and I am crazy! :P I spent a while trying out different light styles and this one got the most votes of 'wow, nice and moody'. If enough people request it I can do a special lighter set.

Them be some nice textures, Sock. I checked out all the other screens of course. I had at least five "Is that Quake?" moments. Turn it into a real map, you know you want to. :p

 Both of those are awesome! - fkd I'd like to see it actually textured ;)

SuperPool - coming Spring 2010! (need to get a model loader working so I don't have to enter in everything by hand!)

Hmmm, I don't know why, but it looks very Unreal Tournament's like for me :). Nice.

@Pat Howard, nah it is not going to be a proper map, just a doodle. I will probably release the source map later on once the forever map is finished. This doodle uses the same assets as the forever map and I want them to be released with the original map they were designed for.

@neoplan, Every cool castle has bats! :)

@fKd, yeah the 'other' map is finished. I was waiting for the new VO to be recorded and this castle thing was just an experiment to check out what else can be made with the medieval texture pack. If everything goes well with the final test for the forever map it should be released this weekend along with the medieval texture pack.

I like your new screenshots but is there going to be any textures? or are you going for the geo single texture look? Maybe try cel shaing stuff?

@Fjoggs, the new texture pack should be released this weekend if the forever map passes the final beta tests. Ive been waiting for stuff from other people, the texture pack page is just a stub, I will add the download link soonly!

@Kaz, I like your new screenshot, nice angle. :)

@fKd, I agree that looks very UT, which isn't a bad thing. I am far to OCD to be able to that...I would have to avoid overdraw and t-junc errors everywhere and my brain would explode. Godmil used to be able to pull of that look and map perfectly, reminds me of his stuff.
If that shot has no overdraw at all, mate you are a genius...regardless really it looks awesome.

its the ramps, thats what brings UT to mind.

And the tech architecture :)

Yeah, got to hate how big the dark/light contrast is on older monitors. That's always a problem when your doing dark areas. I think you should stick to working on the 2 better monitors as those are the standards today. Castle looks great btw. Are you planing on releasing some of the awesome stuff you been working on soon?
