The last movie you saw

Cage, in every movie, walks around with sullen look on his face like somebody just kicked his puppy -- even in Lord of War he looked like he was about to cry half the time.
I never was able to have a high opinion of Leonardo Decaprio ever since he played a retard in What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I haven't even watched a movie he was in since that... I can't bring myself to do it.
Gangs of New York
The Aviator
The Departed
Blood Diamond
Catch Me If You Can
...
You're missing out, IMO. He's turned out to be a great actor.
I saw allot of movies lately:
Stranger than Fiction 7/10
Pretty good drama with Will Ferrel, was suprised about what the movies was about considering I've never heard about it. Ending was too Hollywood tho.
Number 23 6.5/10
Well I saw Stranger than fiction before this and it's actually a similar kind of movie but different. Can't say much about it without spoiling but I thought it was far fetched and boring at the end.
Hard Candy 6/10
I thought it was ok but it was also a very heavy movie because of all the psychological torture and all. Ellen Page was kinda annoying troughout the whole movie though.
Sicko ?/10
Well, I'll talk about it in the Sicko thread. I thought it was ok and I was moved by some parts in the movie. I'd recommend it though.
Shooter 7/10
Nice pop corn flick, enjoyable friday night movie and who doesn't love a movie about ultraleet hardcore snipers.
Next 6/10
Well yeah, again once of those friday night movies, which is ok to watch. Had no clue what it was about so I thought it was pretty cool, but watch with IQ set to 0 cuz it's just another Hollywood action movie.

Forgetting about Titanic, I thought every single movie he played in was great.

When my balls dropped and I stopped being a conformist moron kid I realized DiCaprio is a fucking awesome actor. :icon14:R00k wrote:vileliquid1026 wrote:Lol, I agree.R00k wrote: He fit the part in Arizona well because he looks like a dopey idiot -- how hard is that part to play?

Pan's Labyrinth - 7/10 -- Nice fairy tale, in the sense of the good old fairy tales that were gruesome and taught little kids how to be good by inciting pure terror in them. I loved the cinematography and the cg characters.
Hannibal Rising - 7.5-8/10 -- Right after I finished it, I wasn't sure that I cared for it that much. But after a bit, I realized it was exactly what I wanted from the series. In fact, if that horrible movie Hannibal had never been made, the series would now be complete. I think the actual cold-blooded and sadistic acts that got Hannibal Lecter his reputation are much better if left to the imagination, and described in parts here and there. When you try to put his years before prison onto film, it just takes some of the magic away. But this one did a good job of explaining his life and why he turned out the way he did, without going to0 far and ruining the whole thing. (and it did show the gory details of the beginnings, which i was happy to see - the story wouldn't have been the same without them) :icon14:
Breach - 5/10 -- *SPOILER ALERT*
Bad acting (for everyone except Chris whatshisname who played Hanssen) killed this movie for me mostly. But even good acting couldn't really have saved it from the contrived suspense (the one time I was thankful there wasn't more suspense in a movie), from the bad pseudo techno-babble, and from the apparent sheer idiocy of his captors. They could have made their point without having the most important player in the film say things like "OH SHIT, I just arranged for Robert Hanssen to be away from his PDA by outsmarting him, then got it, and unencrypted and downloaded all the information on it.... BUT I PUT IT BACK IN THE WRONG ZIPPER POUCH IN HIS BAG -- OMG HES COMING BACK!!!!!" :icon27:

Next = 8/10 - Good story and I really liked that they touched on the whole "multiverse" thing and showed the effects of him trying out all scenarios, including scenarios within scenarios...cool concept and I'm glad they went there. Once again Cage doesn't make a difference in this movie but at least he never did the "wide eyed freak out" in this film like he does in every other flick.
Fantastic Four The Rise Of The Silver Fagg0t = 2/10 - God it sucked but it had two cool things going for it:
1) They showed how retarded the American media typically is
2) They unabashedly showed that the American government not only tortures people as a matter of procedure, but does it gleefully.

Reno 911 the movie.
I don't mind the show every now and then, and didn't expect a lot going in since this was a show that really didn't seem like it would lend itself well to a movie, but holy crap this thing sucked. It was like they abandoned all attempts at any creative humor and figured that since this was a movie now all they needed to do for the funny was throw in a bunch of swearing, sex jokes, even a couple masturbation scenes.
2/10.
