She fucking isn't matey, savy?
When she gives this speach at the end, I nearly laughed. She starts by shouting to everybody, and its so camp and "high school drama" that it nearly made me cough up and pay for acting lessons for her.
I still would though. Twice. Once on her tits.

Watched The Life of David Gale earlier tonight. Very good story.........lacked in other areas though.
but, found a pretty good musician out of the deal though. Guy buy the name of Alex Parker. Has a kind of NIN/Manson sound to him. Can't find much about him on the net, but has a few good tunes from what i heard on the movie.

rented some shit last week
Curse of the Golden Flower - 2/10 - cover looked pretty sweet (chow yun fat!!!) but the film blew nuts. quickly devolved into a weird oepdipal communist parable... or something. if you have an asian fetish there are some busty chinese girls, but you never see them topless that i remember.
Stranger than Fiction - 7/10 - this was about a thousand times better than i thought it'd be since i usually dislike will farrell and i hate films/books/poems about how hard it is to write said film/book/poem. least original emo shit ever. anyway, this was good stuff. the author chick and queen latifa were pretty dull, but farrell was actually really good. total contrast to Truman Show where they couldn't resist having the comedian "be funny." actually, it reminded me more of the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy movie than of truman show. wank ending, but i guess that was the point. oh, and dustin hoffman cracked me up - he perfectly channeled every other lit professor i've ever had.

oh, and finally saw
Spiderman 3 - 6/10 - not nearly as bad as most reviews made it out to be. agree that it needed less song&dance, one less villain, and maybe some sort of real character development from the first film. really, uncle ben, goblin, and mj again? not "bad," just boring. fx were good. plot rushed or irrelevant. acting... mixed.

Two was BS. Far too much to cover and it ended up being LOLACTIONLOLMUSIC for the entire film. After a while you just shut off.

VERY good film. Only thing wrong was I cant remember if the original theme from Pirates made it into there this time, but the film was great. Wasn't bored at all at any point, unlike Spiderman 3, which had me looking at my watch every 10 mins. The plot was fantastic, even if it was a little hard to get at times. Thank god I watched the second one a few days ago again

It sumed up everything pretty nicely. The ending shocked me, I think I saw EVERY woman in the cinema gasp when Davey Jones does THAT THING he does at the end. Sad as fuck too, damn, 3 films, 8 odd hours of watchind love "bloom" so to speak and them *blam*. Oh well, see you in 10 years love (As the end scene AFTER the credits show).
Comedy wise it was spot on, so many funny moments. I don't think I've ever wanted Spike/Marsel/Jack the monkey as much as I did this time, he was just great, star of the film. It must of been CGI in places obviously, but when they were going through the artic, and hes sitting there all frozen cold shakin, holding himself... Awww

And when they fire him throug hthe cannon!
Effects wise, fuck, masterpiece. ILM get better and better. Its gonna be hard topping this one for a while. The end scene with the pirates Vs the EITC was stunning. Theres a part where they blow up a certain ship, and a certain person walks down the ship, so slowly, all in slow mo, and EVERYTHING is blowing up around him. It was amazing to watch.
Over all, a fantastic film, so good. Cant quite beat the first, but hell, kicks the second one to hell and back. I'm glad we got to see Davy Jones in human form, even if it was for a few seconds. Real must see film. :icon14: :icon14: :icon14:
How can you have issues with the movie (albeit small ones) and still give it a 10/10?

Fracture - 7.5/10
I love Anthony Hopkins in this kind of role.
Not extremely hard to figure out what's going to happen, but a good ride regardless.

How can you sum up 3 hours in a 10 point based scoring system?
How come you give a shit? Did you like it? Have you even seen it?
Does it matter? No.
The point is, its 10 out of 10 because it did exactly what I wanted it to do. I went out looking for a good time, and I got one. I left he cinema thinking "That was a great film, really enjoyed it". Do you expect me to figure it out exactly?
Ok then, POTC3 gets 9.9943347/10 from me!
EDIT: Plus my only gripe with the film was that a piece of music from the first/second wasn't in it...? So that means the films gonna suck? No, I said its a shame. It wasn't a deal breaker.

First off, calm yourself.
Secondly, if it did everything you wanted it to do then why did you cite a bunch of stuff that you thought were minor problems?

PotC 3 - 6/10
Long, drawn out love story interspersed with long, drawn out fight scene. Add the cheesiest occurrence in the middle of a fight scene - ever - and you have a real disappointment.
It almost seemed like Jack Sparrow was barely in the movie.
But since he was, along with Keith Richards, and a few other cool parts, it gets a 6.

saw it last night, it was pretty fun, but very long and boring in parts. I was confused on the story and motivations most of the time, I had forgotten who most of the characters were. The mid-fight marriage scene should have been cut, that was bad
