Playing through all 3, just love it.
The mp is so perfect balanced and the maps are insane!
The graphics in the mp is just like sp.

I'm near the end of Act 3 already

Which sucks because I heard that one of the acts takes like 30 seconds to do?
In other words I may of beat the SP game on medium by tonight
At least the MP and coop will keep me going!

On casual it's quick, the last 2 acts are much quicker than the first 3, but that changes with the difficulty level
There are 2 spots in the last 2 stages that can take some time.

I'm still working through act4 and I've had it for a week, but I don't play for more than a bit at a time, and usually get interrupted by real life pretty often while gaming, so there's a lot of extended pausing involved.
I think the game will have good replay value because of the nature of the firefights...

Ok.
About half way through the game, you get captured, and turned into a Locust. You look like one, move a bit faster, and you can read all the Locust text. But not all of it. See, only what the devs can be arsed to change for you, because after the first few means, its all in stro... Erm... Locust, again.
The ending is really cool, you have to battle this pointless boss in a way that makes no sense at all, and after the 19863rd quick load, you get an awful ending that explains nothing.
Its not bad at all!

so my roomate and I just went ahead and bought a 360, since we won't be getting a Wii anytime soon. Haven't started Gears of War yet, but soon....
yay for spur-of-the-moment huge purchases. I might get Prey and Quake 4 for it as well, and Marvel Alliance and Dynasty Warriors 5. Any comments on those games?
I'm quite the console newb, so the controls will be alien to me.

Prey is great, but short.
Quake 4 is awful both in terms of frame rate, not the best of SP games, and MP is poor.
Marvel is fantastic, but its a port, so dont expect graphics to be ZOMG.
Dynasty Warriors 5 dont even bother with. Its the PS2 version so save the money and get that instead.
Games you must own at some point in your life:
GRAW
Dead Rising
Oblivion
PGR3
Gears Of War
Call Of Duty 2
Call Of Duty 3
FEAR
Splinter Cell Double Agent
Optional, but great titles:
Saints Row
Burnout Revenge
Fight Night Round 3
Condemned

I bought Half-Life 2 for my PC, but it doesn't exactly run the greatest on it. Now that we have this machine I'm looking into buying the big HL2 megapack for the 360. Anyone looking into this or is the game just too good on the PC?
