It's getting so friggin hot here. Heat index of 110 degrees this after noon. I lost ten pounds getting this rare, White Damselfly.
The sweat kept beading off my forhead and running into my eyes making it very hard to focus. Not to mention trying to keep it from blowing out on the white under full sun.

First image is a crop, second is full frame. See ya in a day or two.

How close are you getting to make those? I'm sure much further than what I'm thinking, but for example in that last pic, it's like you are standing above him by just a few feet... or maybe he's just standing vertically and not horizontal.

Yeah those are some amazing bug pics, srsly, you should be taking pics for national geographic or something.

I must say, that composition is spot on in angles. You did a bang up job leveling it if you did to get them to correspond as you have. So don't sell your equipment or eye to short.

Post more and remember, a good pic isn't made from equipment, but rather what you want others to see.

Thought I would give an update on my Assassin Bug.

The Wheel Bug, Arilus cristatus L.

He's metamorphosed, grown more knarly looking, and even struck a pose for me.

As you can see wings have developed, his abdomen now has a large spiny hump and his thorax has curved. It is also sporting new spots. It's still The Predator of the Weed Factory.

I had a fucking dragonfly crash into my head the other day at about 20 MPH if you figure I was riding my bike at about 13 and it was going whatever it was going....
