renaissance (english language version) - 7/10.

5 just for the visual technique and the way it was used. 2 extra for not having any of the saggy bits that usually happen in cartoon features.

black and white, animated sci-fi film noir. great overall and filled with little bits of clever cinematography. the setting was a little confusing, but i always get that with french movies set in the future for some reason.

the english version is dubbed with daniel craig, ian holm, jonathan pryce, sean pertwee and a few others.

Lucky Number Slevin - 8/10 (good story and characters)
An American Hauntng - 2/10 (utter shit...don't even rent it)
16 Blocks - 6/10 (Bruce Willis going through the motions in a NY street again...almost boring but the premise is interesting)
Barbrella - 8/10 (A fucking comedy classic)
Borat! - 8/10 (I laughed, I shat, I bought more toilet paper)
Miami Vice - 1/10 (now I remember why I thought the original series was fucking tripe)
The Final Cut - 2/10 (what a boring, pointless movie)

I actually see that as one of the most depressing movies made in a long time. I enjoyed it...but it was a stark reminder of the state of things in certain parts of the world.

* What happened to your last drummer?
.. Well.. it was kinda bizarre. He.. uh.. exploded. On stage.
* What?
Yea well.. dozens of people spontaneously combust each year. It's just not really widely reported.

Angel Heart - 7/10
Still one of my favorite M. Rourke-movies.
Well, it's actually my only favorite M. Rourke-movie.

Edit: Apart from Sin City, of course.
Edit2: Fags.

Good flick..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

@ cube

the first one was good, in a low-budget, indie kind of way, but then they kinda lost it

yup it was interesting (matter of fact I think Saw got its inspiration by it) I rented cube 2 for some answers since the ending of the first was no satisfactory...little did i know cube 2 acts as if they didn't know there was a cube 1.

Its ok - took my 7yo niece to see it, starts out really slow and then becomes an environmental flick about overfishing :icon26:

but yeah, Happy Feet is about one and then many dancing penguins.
Figures. Think I'll pass.

Superman Returns: 7.5/10 Some pacing issues in spots made the film feel a bit bloated, and the script, while servicable, could've been better. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the motherfucker.

Rent the third one if you want some answers. It might actually be the fourth one if there is a fourth one.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

most excellent! / 10

this movie should be required for history class in high school.
most memorable moment is the mall scene when genghis freaks out with the baseball bat.
