R00k wrote:The Departed. I'd give it at least an 8, maybe a 9. Great film.

I'll probably buy it on DVD as well. :icon14:

Saw 3.

Best bit was when the audience roared laughing when they saw the black guy in 'the rack'. I still dont understand why it was funny. :confused:

it's easy to see whose "reviews" to ignore in this thread.

Mission Impossible 3 :: 5/10

Terrible everything. Worst of the trilogy, because at least the second one was hyperbolic in a Charlie's Angels sort of way, and it had a good score by Hans Zimmer to back it up.

Hostel :: 3/10

Starts off better htan expected, but the gore is poorly done so not only is nothing gross, nothing is scary and nothing is particularly disturbing except the fact that they actually greenlighted a sequel to this bullshit.

Existenz :: 4/10

What can I say, I hated everything about this movie. It just didn't grab hold of me at all.

Red Eye :: 6/10

Better than Flightplan but still a poorly-executed, pedestrian stinker of a film.

The Exorcist - The Beginning - 6/10

Actually better than expected. But nowhere near the original of course.

You mustn't have expected much then.

well I chuckled to myself, because having a black guy as the criminal was such a cliche, yet you can't ignore the fact that you immediately assumed that was the guy who must have done it... the subconscious prejudice served as a self insult, all you can do at that point is laff it off.

Ghost Dog: 6/10 Whitaker is tip top, but IMO moocho potential is lost because he faces off against a bunch of idiots.

Enigma: 7/10 Good stuff, maybe one too many twists at the very end. Saffron Burrows should've been killed for a wee bit more impact.

Prison Break Season 1 - 8/10

Solid stuff, good show.

and

Heroes, first seven episodes - 8/10

Pretty awesome. It's like this goody-goody soap about a bunch of super heroes discovering their powers. Only now and then it all turns real bloody and messy. Twisted.

Examine the relationship between the cartoon sequences that are shown periodically and not just the immediate action, but a lot of the character traits and especially the expressions.

It's one of those movies that has a ton of goofy little details you can spend time looking for. And of course you can't take seriously a film where the protagonist twirls and holsters his guns in the manner of samurai swords.

An Unconvenient Truth - 8/10

Excellent. Everyone should see it.

Although I think he could have gone into the issue on a deeper, more scientific level, the average idiot (American) probably wouldn't understand it then, so the level he has chosen to place his presentation of the problem is probably the best one.

Borat 7.5 / 10

i laughed a lot and hard. lot's of funny Jew stuff.

mixing the fiction of the story with real encounters somehow doesn't work as well as the short t.v. bits do though...

Over the hedge. 8/10 Laughed my ass off.
The Wild 7/10 pretty funny, but not quite as good.

What can I say. Animated night at the house.
