If you liked "The Departed", you definitely should watch "Infernal Affairs". Departed is based on this movie series.

I liked Departed but didn't like Infernal Affairs. Maybe if I watched Infernal Affairs before the Departed I would have liked A.I. a bit more but I thought Infernal Affairs didn't have anywhere close to the amount of tension, acting quality, script (well the subtitled stuff), and depth in characters that Departed had.

Still, it was the original and came up with the story so I'll give it that.

What'd you think feedback?

So do I, which is what I told the person who recommended I watch it. She's not in it all that much thankfully, it's mainly Clive Owen.

Infernal Affairs - 7/10

Was surprised to see a movie that fast could actually get a little boring near the end.

Also, the fastness kept me very much detached from all the main characters. Don't know if that was the intention, or what.

SAW III: 1/10
This movie has so many plotholes and thrives on completely flawed logic. Terrible, terrible movie. The death traps weren't even very inventive. 1 point for gore.

Really? I quite like him as an actor. He can talk properly too unlike most nasaly Yank actors.

Dwight was the man...

Coincidentally, that movie changed my outlook on sex scenes in films. I used to feel that every sex scene in every movie was stupid and boring, just taking away momentum from the rest of the film without adding anything useful. But the scene where Vasily and his bird get it on just breathes realism and romantix in a good way. The way they're messing about like beginners is just cute :)

Made me warm and fuzzy inside, it did.
yep i've noticed myself appreciating sex scenes on a deeper level these days.

btw, i'm being completely serious here when I say that one of the best sex scenes I've seen is in March of the Penguins.

it is, and the spec. ed. is ALMOST flawless - except for the glaring fact that it's non-anamorphic.

hmmm, that's my opinion too really. They were far from masterpieces but being a horror fan I still felt they were worth paying to see. I've been reading that the third is at least on par with the first two. I hope I'm not disappointed.

I thought I already posted The Departed in this thread, but I don't see it in the last several pages. I gave it an 8/10 - possibly even a 9. Fucking great movie.

Also watched Saw 3 tonight. I'd say 5 or 6/10 -- I didn't think it was nearly as good as the last two. If not for the pieces of background about the previous ones, you wouldn't really miss much by not watching it at all.
