I've been to a private box on more than one occasion and I must say that they remove you from the overall vibe of the event...which is the audience reactions to events in-game. The audience truly becomes it's own entity and it's the main reason why it's so much better to attend the game instead of just watching it on tv. For me, sitting in a private box the vibe of the event was happening "over there" instead of me sitting right in the middle of it and being a part of it, like you'd get sitting in a normal seat. Watching a sporting event from a private box is no different than watching in your living room, except you have a waitress, a private toilet and alot of noise like a loud neighbor watching the same game coming in through the windows.

Private boxes are exactly the kind of anti-social, block-out-the-rifraff type of idiocy that rich right-wingers already not only utilize in their entire ideology, but also in the design of their gated communities, ever the paranoid narcissists. BTW...since paranoia is also closely tied to narcissism and self-interest it is entirely reasonable to predict that rich idiot right-wingers would be the types of individuals that would seek out private boxes. Therefore it's no surprise at all that a dumb right-wing paranoid redneck hick would brag about such a thing thinking it relates to "hey-look-at-me-I'm-rich status" and post a photo of it trying to impress people on the internet.

And to tie up my paranoia/narcissism angle: I bet 20 bucks gramps was carrying a gun to the game.

P.S. My condolances to gramps for having to watch a Panthers game. At least it was Philly visiting and not the Toronto Make Beliefs.
