Textures still look hideous up close, but it's certainly a lot better than it was before.

the textures in those pics don't seem like they're great quality and the edges of objects are a bit sharp/crappy-looking, but the art style looks brilliant. hope they'll have it all fixed for the 7th.

There ya go. Get your money back, get the 360 version, and start enjoying the game. Don't completely destroy your Rage experience. It's a fun game. You should give another platform a try...

I think most of the shots look pretty good but I haven't played it yet so who knows. Crazy that people are having to do this much customization already just to make it look better. I blame Bethesda.

With those tweaks and the latest nvidia beta drivers, this game runs flawlessly on my laptop. It may help that I have 3gb of VRAM and another 14gb of DDR3. Be even better once my SSD comes back from RMA.
