cherry make the best damn keyboards ever.phantasmagoria wrote:the logitech one?
i can't stand it, it slides round my desk because it's not heavy enough and the F-lock and extra keys piss me off no end because i never use them and they just take up desk space.
My old cherry was sturdy, heavy and had amazing keys. I'm so pissed off it broke because i took for granted how amazing it was.
granted they don't glow in the dark, but i never look at my keyboard anyway.
you can pick them up at aria.co.uk for £15.

well, yesterday after i started reading this thread, i got this funny feeling inside me. my hard-earned money was starting to burn a hole in my pocket and the only thing i knew to do was to drive over to Eagle Micro (imagine an after-market rice-boy computer store) and see if they happened to have this Deck keyboard. i had to wait in line for a while to ask if they sold them since their other salesman was busy showing off the HL2 stress test. was pretty sweet, really- they had LEDs on the computer memory of that computer that readout how many resources were being used...but i digress.
anyways, i finally got to ask the question and to my great satisfaction, they happened to sell them. sweet! so i asked what colors they had and chose the red one (since it's the closest to pink that i could get). i brought it home, unplugged my gay Apple Pro keyboard and plugged this new Deck keyboard into my USB port. immediately the plug lit up inside (just as advertised) and a big grin grew out over my face. i had to see if the backlit keys worked, though. i closed the curtains in my office (i have my own apt, btw) and could see the rosy hue of the backlights begin to appear. this alone made my purchase worthwhile.
so now i'm typing out this post with my new Deck keyboard and i can assure you that it is vvvvvvvvvvvvvvverRRRRy what teh ehll? tihs sutpid kyboard!!!!
