Edit: beat me to it
MK:
The move list assumes you're thinking like the game and not the controler you're holding.
Directional:
B = Back
F = Forward
U = Up (jump)
D = Down (couch)
Strikes:
LP = Low Punch
HP = High Punch
LK = Low Kick
HL = High Kick
Here's how the pad was layed out for the SNES, it's a comfortable layout.
The image of the controler itself may help you in mapping your controler to buttons. :icon14:
(l almost always get B and A or Y and X backwards, because Nintendo insisted on making them backwards. :icon27:

SF:
Block is automatic with pressing back on the control pad.
And when doing specials in SF you don't really need to worry about hitting a specific punch or kick button.

That's gonna be tough.
There are some games that just require a controller .
If you're going to get into emulation on a serious level, might I suggest:

or
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDe ... 209&depa=0
I'm looking to getting the wireless one myself.
Been gettign great reviews. :icon14:
If not then just some cheap 6 button controller at the local game shope is okay. :icon14:
Right now though I'm using one of these old POS:

Zsnes?
Menu Bar at the top, click config, then input #1.
In the bottom click the field for the specific buttons and then tap the button you want it to be.
I wouldn't worry about the Turbo, or diaginal options :icon14:

Yeah- she's a good one, we actually have 2 also, one (mine) just like in that image and a newer USB version (my brother's) that has a sleeker d-pad. :icon14:
But I've got a lot of games that need a stick. :/ (N64 and PSX emulation
)
But ima hold on to this one no doubt.
One thing I hate about having the older one is missing the start button and hitting the mode button turning off the controller. :lol:
