MS says you can import a launch country's One and use it in your nonlaunch country without problems.
the voice recog software won't work with your language tho, but there's no problems with using the Marketplace or whatever (as was feared).
"You can use one of the 13 digital marketplaces corresponding to our launch markets, assuming you have a valid payment instrument for those countries. Lots of people in Europe specifically travel, move, and visit family." However, Penello mentioned there is a workaround where payments are concerned, adding: "Now, of course, if you were using Pre-Paid cards..."

also, europe only they say.

Someone can have my code when it comes. Not a fan of football games, would rather watch a match in real life.

I wonder if Xbox 360 players and Xbox One players can play multiplayer against each other.

But great way to make money. When little Timmy starts bitching to his parents that he can't play with his friends, mom and dad fork out the cash to shut him up...

they dont support backwards compatibility. what makes you think you could (or should) have 360<>One connectivity, especially in games?
most of the time nextgen versions of currentgen titles are vastly different anyway.

Entirely true but once games began utilizing network functionality it blurs the lines of "vastly different". Perhaps games on the 360 won't/shouldn't work with XBone, but the future generations will probably share more and more resources so perhaps one day when every feature known to existence is in the console it'll be down to "upgrading" your console with a simple chip changeout...like you would a RAM stick. Who knows?

All I hear developers saying is that current gen and next gen games are all identical except for some fancier graphics. For previous generations you may have been right, because basically all important games were released for either Xbox
or Xbox 360. PS2
or PS3. It's different this time around. And graphics aren't important for multiplayer. If the network protocol is the same, why shouldn't Xbox 360 and Xbox One games be able to interoperate? The same is actually true for Xbox 360 and PS3 (and PC). There really is no technical reason why you shouldn't be able to play Call of Duty multiplayer on your Xbox against PS3 players. The real reason is corporate interest. Binding consumers to your platform.
And I know that the whole idea behind splitting the platforms up like that is to force people to upgrade, but it's still a shame that if you're not a day one buyer of the Xbox One while most of your friends are, you're missing out on the multiplayer fun. And if you decide to buy an Xbox One three months later after all, you're gonna have to buy your $60 game all over again. It's just not a very consumer friendly situation.

to be fair, there was announced that buying a nextgen version of a game you own on the currentgen will come at a huge discount, ie $10 total price.
also, the network protocol isnt the same anymore. theres also most likely a lot of whizbangery on the background going on which makes it not as easy as you'd think. what if the new specs allow for a more efficicent codebase, and therefore essentially a rewrite of your online code? someone needs to do the translation of that (net)code between the two versions. it's not gonna be some master server; it's still p2p afterall; and it's not gonna be the previous gen as that would require some huge downloadable update, ifnot a new release of the game.
obviously this is a speculative scenario of how this couldn't work but whatever the reason I'm sure it's simply wasn't feasable in the end.
if it were they'd include BC too
