My cellphone has an MP3-player and a radio :paranoid:

I never use the radio though

Very nice. But I have to say, there are a lot of very nice looking mp3 players already with lots of buttons yet the ipod still sells shitloads because of it's minimalist styling and lovely interface. But I'm sure it will do very well. You ordered yours yet juggy? The pink one no doubt.

last time i listened to the radio, it sucked big time: while driving through austria we had to listen to the traffic informations...

every damned time we turned the radio on, like four times in three days, they played the same shakira song :dork:

If you fancy something more to read, there's a bunch of opinions here from the portable experts/fanatics.

now just when i thought the nano is ugly, this is worse. wth is this? blue color rio carbon with misplaced buttons.
My goodness that is ugly. People always complain that the ipod looks like a bar of soap, but I think the new walkman has the ipod beat in that regard by a mile.
boneheads.

I guarantee apple are, or will be onto it very quickly and produce a
sony-crusher. Don't get me wrong, I love sony, they're my favourite manufacturer for electronics, but it just looks like a nicer ( much nicer) version of the creative micro, but still a bit plasticky looking. All it takes is for apple to match the wizardry of the sony but in a silk suit like the ipod and it'll win everyone over.

THAT's "plasticy-looking" more so than an ipod? you need your eyes checked too.

Revived because I've got my eye on this one but I'd really like to read some local's testimonials before I go for it.

Anyone check it out yet?

Ok, that sony one looked good before, but now i've seen the picabove it just looks very meh... I liked the way they hid the screen before, but on this it just jumps out at you from under the plastic. The whole thing just looks built poor compared to an ipod...

In the time since the iPod was released they've had minidisc, netMD, that crappy ATRAC player which no-one bought, and now this. All the while, Sony's hamstringing themselves by imposing conditions on their customers from the get-go and by charging "boutique" prices without the sort of industrial design that lets Apple get away with it. They're doing the same thing with their PCs, charging extra for "Sony style", which seems to be some black plastic and a bit of silver trim. They really need to hire a design team with some taste.

You don't have to use Sony's POS file format with this one, do you?

Don't think so.

ah, i get ya. i totally agree with you on those points, and this one has design on its side, will fortunately, still open to .mp3 and not ATRAC crap, although you could say the same about AAC, which i don't care for.

This would be a better product if it had AM/FM, built in mic/direct recording, and a lower price point.

oh well.
