edit: hard to hack yes, but not impossible.

As I said above, people have already started working on a xbox360 chip

i didn't see anyone mention how much these companies make off of peripherals. alot of that stuff is well over 100% mark-up. one of my ex's worked at BB and she got peripherals at cost. i got my Sony BRANDED component cable for under $7 which included our 8% tax. :dork:

also, if nintie-people are the epitome of sportsmanship, how come they have to jump up and defend and compare their products at every turn? :p

yerp. back when the ps2 came out, you "needed" to purchase:

1) another controller
2) memory card
3)component or s-video cables

and perhaps:

4) controller cable extensions
5) bigger memory card
6) controller multi-port

bigger mem card? i still use the same one i got with my ps2 when i bought it at release ?
component really isnt "needed" too is it?

cube was the same, needed both a mem card and another controller

xbox takes the cake though. WE GOT 5.1 SOUND!!!11 (you gotta buy a different cable though). WE GOTS TEH DVDPLAYER! (but first, buy this dongle). AND WE GOTS TEH INTARDNET!!11 (pay monthly fee, sucker).

you have the 8mb ps2 card? lol, you don't save much, or have very little games that you do save.

re: component - that's why i quoted "needed", but added s-video. you're truly a dumb mother f*cker if you used a PS2 with composite cables.

i have the 8mb yea. i also have like 40 games :o the only game that poses a threat and made me delete sum stuff is the sims. that uses about 1.5 megs :o

i also clean up save games every now and then. if i dont play a game for like a year, im most likely not going to start again from a save game, but rather from the start to immerse myself again. or, just get 100% from the start again (like in tony hawk games et al)

I'm not saying they're the epitome of sportmanship and they have to defend their products because they're attacked. The rest is plain marketing.
