I wont have a satellite receiver for a month or two so for now it's just for video games.

what happened to getting a wide?

all i said was widescreen would kick ass

Yup. Here's my logic:
Right now I live with my step-brother and basically have one room.
I'll have my BS by this time next year which means my salary doubles.
Once my salary doubles I can get my own place.
Once I have my own place I can setup a kickass movie room and still have an ok TV for my bedroom.

All the stores around here have widescreen TVs that went for atleast $700 and I just wasn't ready to spend that much. If I'm spending $700 I might as well just be buying a projector or something.

I gotta look into getting a new TV soon. My old one just wont cut it any more, i want HD goodness damn it

Cant afford such a large price lump just yet however.
