no too much yet, but that would be pointless if it couldn't walk around without falling over, be able to go up and down stairs, turn in midstep like a human, etc, which is why the huge development in movements take precedent.

I'd like to have one at home, it would be my personal servant. It would bring me drinks and mow the lawn and whatnot. At least before it snaps and murders me and half of the neighborhood.

I've seen the same hopper robot you're talking about, and yes, it is impressive. But, are you under the impression that ASIMO ISN'T using gyros and CPUs for balance?
