The point you may ask? Perhaps it's the pride of tuning it yourself. Perhaps they really like the car (my step bro supercharged a buick for some handicapped dude once). Perhaps it's the bragging rights to have the fastest XXX in town. Perhaps they like to drag race and know that well tuned cars will destroy most OEM cars that cost less than $60k (my friend's EVO8 runs 13.5 while his friends Civic runs 12.2 and cost half as much).
I take your point about tuning the thing but to me it doesnt make much sense when you can get this

by the way I am in no means slagging you, I used to have a Nissan Skyline GTS 25 Nismo (trial motorsports) Limited edition so its not a case of liking fast jap/whatever flavour of cars......
I personally just dont see the point of fannying up your car to the point that engine wear becomes an issue. And lets face it, you put a turbo/supercharger/nitrous on any car that wasnt designed to have it, your going to create problems for yourself. I would buy a more expensive car to begin with and replace alloys seats interior redecked with leather and carbon fibre/alluminium trim replace the exhaust and downpipes, equip it with a K&N/pipercross filter charger kit and then leave it alone after that. If your cars not quick enough after that, you bought the wrong car.
but yeah, the integra is a nice car........
imo

Wow nice finds Pyro. Looks like my next car will be a 911!
I'm not biased when it comes to cars. I love tuned cars, show cars, mint classics, and exotics.
I know this isn't a body kit thread but while we are posting cars I want to share to of my favorite tuners.
Over-the-top:

The reason I almost bought a Mazda3:

let me tell you it's not. cracked stator cover on the first one, put me out of action for a couple of weeks, second one only cost me a broken peg, but i had rearsets waiting to be put on, so no big deal. i fucking hate retards who change lanes without looking where they're going.Nightshade wrote:Sounds like fun.dnoyc wrote:i got hit twice in the last month on the freeway.losCHUNK wrote:i can guarantee you if i had a quick roadbike id be dead

Because he's in the business so it didn't cost him much to build that car. Plus its probably faster than any street legal car you can buy in North America. And it has a blow-off valve.[FTF]Pyro wrote:ToxicBug wrote:TT? LOL its only 1 T and no it probably wont take it on yet (although the 3 fastest all honda allmotors in the world run 9.97, 9.98 and 9.99) but it will demolish the 14 second GSR for sure, since it has a lot more torque. It'll probably run high 12 right away on good tires, and thats 10+ car lengths in front.bitWISE wrote:Nice. I thought the K24 was all engine? How can all engine take on TT?
tell me, what is the general attraction of buying a car thats relatively cheap then adding like 25000 worth of parts to make it go faster. why not just buy a fast car like an xkr supercharged, 348 gtb or a 911 or something with a bit of class ?
serious question,
