I got an auto because I have to drive 2 hours in rush hour every day. I miss having a stick though. In retrospect I could have dealt with it to have the control back.

Driving a manual is nothing. All you have to do is condition your leg to get used to the clutch.
I tried using the autostick on my stepdads 300C and gave up after almost getting whiplash

My first truck was a 5 speed, drove it off the lot and a few miles home. Was bumpy as shit and killed it once, but it took all of 3 hours of driving until you don't even think twice about changing gears. But I'm sure the 'normal' person isn't as near as talented as me...so I don't blame you.

This thing is soooo much fun
Great car.
But man...From your postings you look like a cleaver man.
Don't let you impress by the power of your car. Hope it is not your first. Take care, I really mean it. You drove it to 130 and you fell the adrenalyne. Now you know how it feel, do it somewhere else than on the normal highway, like on a stretch in the desert somewhere...I know what I am talking about, believe me.
Be carefull my friend. I want to hear from you again this winter.
A friend.

The closest i ever got to driving a stick and not messing up was in iraq when i was getting a ride back to our tent with the rest of the troops from a turkish guy and the front was so packed I changed the gears when he pressed the clutch

Maybe eventually I'll put a standard in there, but not for a year at the very least...i wanna get other stuff in there first

Don't worry man....it was on the 3 mile Gandy bridge from St. Petersburg to Tampa and I had a completely open stretch. It wasn't the first time I drove that fast too (autobahn weeeee)

Sorry to hear (read) that.
You are in Tampa US so you have to fullfill your obligation by the Country or do you have the right to refuse?
Also, if it is not indescret...May I ask you how old you are?

Same here. Back in high school, I tried a friend's stick for about 5 minutes. Never again until I bought this last car. Died once too the first day, smelled a little bit like clutch when I got home, not too bad. Totally used to it now though.

I've had my car upto 220 km/h (136 mph).
The car weighed in at 2500 lbs if I remember correctly.
The engine wasn't in great shape because it was only running at 50% of what it was capable of when it was brand new.
