Yes, that's true. But seriously, like I've said in my previous threads about drawing, if you can do better, show me. I'm on my way to taking classes soon, and I will make this my career.

You're on your way? Oh ok. I thought you might actually have some training. I myself am just about to start the second part of my 4 year course at art school.

Still that is really poor for someone who plans to get into art school. Can I see some more of your portfolio? I might be able to help you organise it.

Your career huh? Dude, you lack talent - this pic you posted is something i'd expect on some hentai furry geocities site made by some twelve year old.

Everything I've ever drawn is at http://paxcorpus.deviantart.com. Along with a few other things. Not really a portfolio, and even if you don't think any of it is good, that's what I've been doing.

Wow...you're 20? Yeah that stuff is really bad. Can I suggest accounting?

I wouldn't suggest giving me a career that has anything to do with managing people's money.

Yea, but that's Matt Groening's style.

Yes. It's awful, the background is nothing more than a smattering of a default photoshop brush and her face is SO fucked up it could have be drawn by Rob Rob Liefeld.

Maybe if the site loaded properly I would've seen past that stupid top banner.

No it's not. Matt isn't actually a very good drawer, he can't draw the simpsons for shit. If you actually look at his drawings of the characters they look like the early Tracey Ullman.

I don't understand... Do you guys visit art galleries weekly or something? I really don't see how that drawing is bad in any way. It's not supposed to look exactly like a photo realistic picture.

I wouldn't worry too much about Mr.Magnetichead's opinion. At one point he changed his name to RedQUEEN or something like that and when he posted his pic, we all questioned his sex and his sexual orientation. :olo:

Ok, but I still don't think it's Dek's personal drawing style. Hell, I could draw you a Simpson character.

You have a huge problem with proportion, lighting, shading, details, hue, value, color, etc..

you dont have to visit art galleries to see if someone is drawn nicely, sir. see, it lacks detail. and i dont mean that in a realistic way, i mean it lacks shadowing and highlights. it makes it all look very flat. also, the use of color is more than bland which makes it look unfinished. it also looks as if you never heard of an eraser and just kept the obvious mistakes as you went along.

the pic you posted here has some charme, simply because its all black & white. the technique may not be there but the hard contrast makes it ok to look at.
if you look longer than 15 seconds you'll notice the obvious failure in draing skills though.
