Wow, thanks for that. More complete and utter pointless discussion where you miss the point by a mile.duffman91 wrote:LOL, so obvious you have no foundation of credibility.o'dium wrote:Wow, two unrelated things and yet you still managed to sound liek a complete and utter prick.
Its fucking obvious dip shit. Read between the lines.
I still think Sin will be funner than Gear Wars.
They say it will have X amount of playing time. I say otherwise. Its called an "oppinion from somebody elses point of view". In other words fuck head, its IMPOSSIBLE for it to be wrong.
If i said "Hey Halo 2 looks like fluffy bunnies running around to me" thats correct as well, because that would indeed be what it looks like to me.

Jade Empire took me 16 hours, which was a damn sight more than the estimated 12 (if it'd been installed to a hard disk, it would have taken 8). FAKK2 took, what, 10 hours, but those 10 hours were FUN. Halo2 was about 10 hours on normal, and about 20 hours on legendary. Doom3 - about 12 hours here.o'dium wrote:The episodes last longer than an hour. Yes. Of course. Just like BIA was claimed to last 20+ hours. Anybody that believes "game time estimates" from the actual company will get a shock. Most people will walk through the game in no time.
i.e. just because the estimates given BY ANOTHER COMPANY are wrong, doesn't mean they all are.
Yes I know I'm not hardcore.

And Geebs, your forgetting the biggest problem with sin. They want you to pay £20 for a game that will last an hour, and then wait a few months for the next hour long game to come out. All the time while using Steam, which will most likely crash when you use it like it does for most users now. And when you can get on, it will ask you to install the game AGAIN by downloading all the content you just installed.
In all, when its released, there will be a big flock of people "installing" the game in this way, which means it will probably take longer to install the game than to actually complete the episode.
I agreed with you, until you started just babbling lies..
Steam rarely crashes.. for anyone..
If you seriously have issues with it, its time you fix underlying issues on your machine
And "new epps" or w/e for sin.. you DO realize all your going to do is download a patch with some new maps..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

Once you install HL2, you have to authenticate the files over the server, something which should take 20 mins but took hours on launch day due to the servers being hammered. Remember?SOAPboy wrote:o'dium wrote:There is no unreal 3 as yet. Its all Gears of war. everything from UE3 tech demo's is in-game Gears Of War.

Crashes... HL2 crashed for everybody at the start. Many many audio errors, stuttering, bad FPS, GPF's, the whole lot. Still does for many today unless you have a clean system.
