Go surfing, hang out on the internet, read tech magazines, eat, sleep. Think about all the constructive things I will do someday when I get off my ass. Practice my tabla drums.

After something like 10 years being ‘’retard’’ retired…Sounds the same to me.
I have been through all types of trades, from…Nah! Too long to enumerate in here,
May be I’ll do in Knowfury’s thread.
And this isn’t the subject.
Just wonder though how most of you are still getting up early as usual?
It as to do with your biorhythm system being used to it.

For my part, I have no periods of vacation anymore for quite awhile.
To me, any day of the week is the same…Except for Sunday.
I like to keep it all for me. I am catholic, may be this has to play a part of it but I always kept that day and my birthday free of work.
After the usual hygiene thing, With a few good coffees, I will read the week-end newspaper on the balcony (because I didn’t read it the day before).
I will stay under the sun (even if it is 35C) alone thinking about anything.
Come here, listening to the news, writing, drinking, smoking (anything else finishing by ing) Oh yeah… then fucking. Sorry this is a gross word…I know you care.
PS. Can’t believe I forgot the c in fucking in Micro Word and it told me.

no real schedule - lots of cycling, beach volleyball, hanging out in kensington market, chilling with friends on balconies, going for groceries at kensington market...

Today's the last day of our 2 week break, and this is how pretty much every day has played out:

Get up at 11am~2pm
Check email, comics and forums
If I can be bothered, do some coding
Shower+dress, go out for breakfast with some mates if they're not too hungover
Go to work if i'm working that day, otherwise get together with other mates and devise plans
Go to bottle shop and restock supplies
Drink
Stumble home.

Rinse and repeat.

Aren't you the fellow who has been having insomnia this past week or maybe even more (I hope not, that would be bad)? How are you doing? I hate insomnia, just to let you know.

that is me, and it's been longer, perhaps 5-8 weeks? (although worse during the past two weeks, which i can partially understand). I have school tomomorrow morning, have to get up at 8am... I'm actually considering not sleeping tonight in hope that tomorrow night i'll be able to get to sleep earlier and be able to regulate it easier ?

I'm seeing a sleep specialist in a couple of weeks about it all, hopefully she can help clear a few things up.

From my personal experience with all nighters, I believe this to be a bad idea. What you do is screw up your body even more, and when it comes to being night again and you try to sleep (after feeling terrible thoughout the day), your body is actually entering its 'day rhythm' and it will be hard to get to sleep (even after feeling tired during the day).

I have found a good way to get to sleep when I'm off cycle is to take melatonin. I also take away all distractions that may keep me awake, such as closing the door or turning on a desk fan if my body is hot.

If I am feeling agitated or depressed, I find it difficult to get to sleep because my mind is spinning in circles and I'm constantly going through scenarios and situations in my head. The way I've found to get around this is to focus my attention on an object in the room, like looking at my alarm clock or listening to the wind or my heart beat. By focusing my attention outside, my mind relaxes and before I know it I go to sleep. This can be difficult at first, and you'll 'catch' yourself drifting into endless circles of thought from which you'll have to put you focus outside yourself again.

Gosh, Testoclesius lives life like I bet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would have lived life, if our Lord and Savior Jesus hadn't had been born in a highly religious culture under rule by the Romans and influenced by Judaism and the idea of a personal God who would one day lead the chosen tribes of Israel to the promised land, reuniting fallen man with the garden of Eden that he had been thrown out of because woman had deceived him. Wow.

sometimes when my sleeping patterns are in a way that I need to get up early or get my patterns correct (for school mostly), skipping a night will at least fix it temporarily for a while.

I'm always feeling agitated or teenageangsty or depressed, and there's never any silence. i've tried focussing on clocks, spots on the wall, holding my arm perfectly straight in the air, and a bunch of other tricks people have related to me. i think for the moment all i need is to get my shit sorted out, which takes a lot of time, effort, and everyone (parents, teachers, school councellors, friends) getting the hell off my back, which they all seem to have a problem with doing.

That sounds pretty fucked. May I recommend not giving a fuck what other people think/expect of you, and just living life so that you enjoy it, not suffer it.

that's always been my philosophy, the rest of everyone can get fucked :),, it's just the constant pressure from everyone that i sometimes have trouble dealing with, i've lost my escape route, since all paths lead to shit.

Depends where I am. if its home or at uni.

If its at home:

Wake up 9-11
Lunch at 12
Walk the dog
See what mates are doing
Possibly go to town
walk the dog again
chill out the rest of the day

at uni

wake up at 11-1
"lunch" at 2
mess around with housemates until something like, 6pm
dinner at 7-8pm
possibly go out and get drunk

Ughh..how do you manage to sleep in to 1 pm folks? Even when I was partying a lot back in the day, I still couldn't sleep past 9 or 10 am at the absolute latest. Once the sun was peeking through the shades, my body would not go back to sleep.

It's actually very very very easy to do.
