Yes, though I'm applying the term bisexual retrospectively....she had been living as a lesbian prior to our affair. "Chasing Amy" doesn't even cover half of it. No more lesbian kitty for me. Ever. The fantasy elements wear off in about 10 seconds, then it's a slow-mo emotional trainwreck from then on. Trouble was, we connected on an emotional level well before the dating got hot and heavy (she didn't tell me about the rugmuncher bit until our 4th date).
Though I guess if it is just casual fucking, then viva la lesbians!!
I dated a girl in graduate school who, once we had been going out for awhile, admitted to me that her and her college roommate had a bit of a thing. And yea, like you said, the fantasy elements are gone, quickly. In fact, it sounds a lot like your situation - emotional connection first, then after things are hot and heavy, during some random conversation she brings up the fact that she had actually been in-love with her college roommate (btw, it was an all-girls college...dunno if that had anything to do with it.) Had this been simply a casual relationship, probably no big deal. But man, it seemed like right after this some substantial emotional/psychological issues became apparent with this girl...it was like opening Pandora's fucking box...
Things ended within the next couple weeks...
On our 4th date she took me to the gayest gay bar one could hope for...as if just saying "pssst....I'm a lesbian" wasn't enough. lol, it's actually quite funny now that I think back on it. She was also the best kisser I had ever encountered, but she was ixnay on the eebjay.

Christ, that is spooky. I had to go through the same experience with her and a female friend of hers who loved to dance. They wanted to go to this bar that wasn't supposed to be 'gay' but rather 'open' because it had the best dance floor in town. It was funny as well, because I was drunk off my ass and, being in a state of drunked paranoia, sure that if I wasn't with her at all times, some gay guy was going to ask me to dance...so I pretty much stuck with her everywhere she went.

i've had a couple of casual relationships with bisexual girls... the first was a really good friend of mine, where the relationship led further and there was no real problems with it (we both knew exactly what it was, so there was no confusion). the second was a slight bit more off the rails, but it was just very fast and fun (even got her [straight] mate involved once)

Yeah, i have. She'd go 'check out the legs on that chick!' and i'd be like 'my gf is fucking supercool...' but it didn't last of course and in the end we broke up in a rather ugly fashion. Emotional trainwreck is about right.
I still have pretty powerful feelings for her though, even after years and years of not seeing or talking to her. It sucks.
