I've only had one, but it's interesting you mention that.Giraffe }{unter wrote:Feom my experiances VWs are crap after 30,000 miles. 5 VWs 5 electrical, exhaust, and interior leakage problems. IMO they are great as a 2 year lease, not good to own.
Fuck no... i owned a Seat cordoba awhile back, and a friend have a Seat leon... dont like em at all... feel all plastic.bitWISE wrote:

2000 323ci, gonna go to Germany in a couple of days to check out some dealers.reefsurfer wrote:

Dont want bmw though.
What ya getting instead macabre?
Are you in the US? The ones in the US are made in Mexico if I am not mistaking. In fact, I thought the plant in Germany shut down?reefsurfer wrote:German's know how to build solid cars.AmIdYfReAk wrote:btw, i got a 1986 Jetta, 160'000KM's on it, the MOST work that i have done to the car is putting on a new Cat..
Audi, Porsche, VW, Mercedes... all solid cars with high comfort. :icon31:
no stock 1.8 golf in the world has 140nhp. where do you get these bullshit stats from??reefsurfer wrote:.. thinking of a Golf.
Nothing fancy or expensive.
I got two choices..
Golf GT 1.8 1989 with 90 hp.
Full service book and only service on VW shop.
Import from Germany with 2 owners since -89
Blue metallic with no rust.
Sport seats, sport steering wheel, 15" rims, sun roof/hatchet, JVC cd stereo and route computer(no idea what it's called in english..a digital display showing distance, how much gas left etc)
Price: 1,732 US, 1,415 Euro and 947 UK but i can go down around 400 US dollars.
It's longdsitance driving on it.. with 280.000 Kilometers

Then i have this choice:
Golf GTI 1.8 1987with 140 hp
No service book and probably hillbilly fixes on it.
No import... no idea how many owners.
Black color with rust stains.
Sport seats, sport steering wheel, regular 14" rims, sun roof/hatchet,route computer, but no stereo.
Price: US 1,332, Euro 1,088 and 728 UK... i can knock off around 250-300 US dollars on it though.
Around the same distance driven.. 280.000 kilometers.
[lvlshot]http://195.149.144.113/images/99/99-99982063599.jpg[/lvlshot]
So, should i go for the cheaper one with more horsepower but bad paint, no cd stereo, no nice rims... or should i add a few extra dollars and get the one with full service book, few owners, nice rims, cd stereo etc...?
I will just use it as it is... so style and shit dosent really matter, its around 400 dollars difference
Its the 16 valve engine.Doombrain wrote:

I don't think reefs hit retirement age yet... You'll be recommending a Rover next :icon31:PhoeniX wrote:You could get a nice Ford Mondeo for not much more, nicer cars
