Flatout is a kickass racing game.scourge34 wrote:Ummm, don't wanna google. What is FlatOut? Racing?
I was about to message you last night around 3am and tell you to download it STAT... but, after I thought about it a replay I was playing locked up and I had to restart. There seems to be a problem with NVIDIA cards with newer drivers than the (I forget, somewhere in the 60's)...scourge34 wrote:Hmmm, not really into racing games, but I'll give 'er a look see.
I'm in the 70's so tuff shit for me. Not about to go down just to watch a replay though.Empire Studios wrote: Fix for the nVidia 66.93 drivers. The game no longer crashes when a race is started. The game has also been tested up to the 67.03 drivers with no problems found.
(haven't tested on mine, but at their forum they all seem to be working, none of the driver I'm currently on though)Empire again wrote: Are you using Flatout with the Nvidia 66.93 drivers?
Answer
Goto the 'install folder ( C:\Program Files\Empire Interactive\Flatout )open
savegames'
Open the 'options.cfg' using notepad or wordpad
Change 'Settings.Visual.SunFlare=TRUE' to 'Settings.Visual.SunFlare=FALSE'
Save the file and Flatout should work with the 66.93 drivers.
Newest 70s should be fine..bork[e] wrote:I was about to message you last night around 3am and tell you to download it STAT... but, after I thought about it a replay I was playing locked up and I had to restart. well at the forums the devs DO post over there and read suggestions.. i think theres some "legal" reason there isnt online..bork[e] wrote:Finally got it working earlier today, there is a option in the config you can turn off that stops the crashing.
I'm loving this game, just wish there was internet support.
