I thought so as well. But this video recently changed my mind - I think actually the whole story hocus pocus is alright but the fight scenes are bad:Eraser wrote:People are hating way too much on The Matrix 2 and 3. she's totally on point about why the first movie was so good: tight storytelling and well-structured exposition - also what was lacking from 2 and 3

Many, many re-writes will do that. The first was so tight that the studio didn't really care what was put out as they knew it would make money. Blame the studio, not the writers.

Part of Matrix 4 was shot at Babelsberg, Berlin- Studios.
There's some ongoing inspection whether there was a "wrap up"-party that broke Covid-rules or if indeed that whole thing was a scene filmed for the movie.
