My friend is back from Iraq and he will be here until the 29th. I've hung out with him once since he has been back and I just found out that they are having a small party tonight. AJ is making this special drink thats kick ass (two bottles of everclear among other things). Well apparently when my gf woke me up after having 4 hours of sleep I told her I was going to stay at her house tonight so now I have a fucking 9pm curfew. I'm so fucking pissed and I can't seem to explain it to her...
So, you have a gf...but last week you were carrying on about this horny 18 year old who already has a casual sex partner and bummed that it couldn't be you?
Thats the entire reason it made me mad. I was really attracted to her when we met but every time she started looking for someone I was taken. And then that happened after I've been with this one on and off for 3 years and dont want to ruin it (yes...the one I've complained about many times before).

Man...the soap-opera of trials and tribulations that is the teenage/early20something search for a relationship. In all honesty, this sounds a lot like the situations I have to listen to 14 year olds talk about. If you've been with this one 'off and on' for 3 years - what is it that you don't want to ruin? It doesn't sound like its been entirely fantastic. I think you'd be a lot happier if you worked on your assertiveness and really took control of some situations. It sounds like you are letting situations control you for some reason.
Just an observation though...so I apologize if you think I'm way off here.

Actually that is on the young end. I teach high school (this year just freshmen and sophomores) - so I probably only have a few 14 year olds at the moment. I've taught at the college level and the high school level, a wide variety of classes (advanced chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology). Currently looking into teaching summer courses in biology and/or chemistry and biochemistry at the local community college.

We'll see.

No you're right. I never had a serious gf until I was 17 so I didn't get much experience with the whole dating thing. The reason we were off and on is because of the times I suspected she was cheating. I wish I was more assertive but I don't understand how I can fix that.

It can be fixed relatively easily if you phase it in a bit. Don't just drop it on your gf and friends - i.e. just wake up one morning with a 'Things will be done my way" attitude. Rather, you need to start evaluating situations as they arise and constantly be thinking about what you need to do to be in a position of control for not only that moment, but also for the future of the situation/relationship.

I think that might be a good start - but there are many other things that I am thinking might be useful as well.

Fast food = profits for McD's
Poor health + diet regimes/supplements = profits for pharmaceutical companies.

Conclusion: McDonalds branch out into the pharmaceutical industry, play both ends against the fat middle.

We can actually agree on something ;)

I'm of the opinion that its better to be honest than lie just to make her happy.
