No one cares if you think it's right or wrong it's just the fact that you use the 'we did it cos you do it' excuse as it is piss poor and factually incorrect.

Your country's government are providing a stage for torture and torturing people in large numbers, deal with that before you go pointing fingers. I'm not denying that the British brass maybe aware of it to some degrin but we all were since we found out about Guantanamo and decided to do fuck all.

So we can't say "FFS America" when America does something inexcusable just because you want us to agree on the assumption that there's other countries doing this as well?

Even if there was proof other countries did this as well, we could still say "FFS America" and we'd be saying "FFS other country" as well.

you're missing the point here, chump0s. it isn't just the torture that's the issue, it's the fact that it's being done by the government of a country whose self-image is built on notions of liberty and equality before the law and other such Enlightenment notions. that government has stooped to the level of those 'other governments' that don't buy into Enlightenment ideals - not to mention adopted a view of torture that would have been considered outdated by the end of the 17th century. how are you going to lecture other countries about human rights now?

Is anyone really surprised? America began as a bunch of ingrates raping and pillaging Natives in the name of a divine cloud zombie. You can't really expect these boorish barbarians to do anything but maim and murder people in-between their TV marathons and fried waffle binging.
