Don't do that cause it's used for breaking up quotes, i.e.:

"[First bit of quote] ... [second bit of quote]"

Make the quote button work when you are not logged in;
could be done like: so it takes you to the login page, then when you log in it has the quote in the reply box
or: you could take the login boxes and put them on the reply page. That's how they used to be in the Tubanator hacked/modified version forum.
Either way, the quote button should work somehow when you are not logged in.
