I think it's funny how this is seen as a great gameplay mechanic (it is) yet was seen as lol console poorons when Resident Evil did it way back when.

It took me a while to build up the stones to play Bioshock. This would make me produce much brown.

I was thinking of buying it, after having found some webshops that carry it for like €35 or so. However, since I only own an Xbox 360 and outdated PC, my only real option would be the Xbox 360 version, which probably looks like poop but also appears to suffer from framerate issues.

If there's one thing I learned from my Xbox 360 experiences with Bioshock Infinite, it's that framerate issues can kill a game. So I'll pass on this until I have a PC that can run it (whenever that may be).

I never played the old RE games so I can't comment on that, but it's a great mechanic as long as it's used well and doesn't feel out of place. The original Tomb Raider games on PS forced you to find crystals to save your game with, that was just laughable compared to the quicksave on PC.

quick saves ruin the experience of most games, especially fps's. they start to be designed with quick-saving in mind so they do all kinds of unfair bullshit to compensate

I'm too lazy to think. Lots of fps games with hit-scan enemies and you have to know exactly where all of them are to do it with low health

After the first few missions with the alien in you learn to evade it and get used to it roaming around. It still scares the shit out of you from time to time and you'll know when you're safe to wonder around some parts without having to watch out for it. I think the creepiest aspect is the Working Joe's. They freak me out.

It's so good. I would suggest taking your time though and not just ramming through it, just to take in the level design.

This game is 9/10 for me. Won't be selling my copy.

I know it's awesome, but I'd rather watch someone play it tbh.

I got the Evil Within but the mechanics are so unfair that I stopped about 2 hours in. It's no Resident Evil 4. These days I'd rather watch someone play through some games than spend the effort myself lol.

Wife's kindle ran out of power at a 'good' part of her book so she thought it would be an idea to shout 'no' at it. I fucking jumped out of my skin and became auto angry. >:(

Still not gonna happen for me - I am a shit house at the best of times and I know people who love horror games who have been 'scared' playing this.
