I think they could name more than Avatar, r2d2, c3po, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Chewbacca would all be pretty unforgettable. But what about Aliens as a standalone film ?, they'd be able to appreciate more characters dying in the 1st encounter with the Aliens than that 1 main baddie through the entire of Avatar.

People would also be compelled to rewatch those films, which is part of their popularity, I think Avatar is already fading in peoples memories

2nd, Aliens is a war film, Avatar is not about people dying, it's a spritual film.

It's not about the goodies or the baddies or people dying it's about the characters. There were goodies in Avatar but fuck knows who they were.
