Sony shows off new PlayStation 3
8 is usually where its at... I dunno about you but just 4 layers on a TV ith splitscreen is awful to look at. It would be for games like fifa, NBA etc, but 7 just seems odd.Transient wrote:My first guess was in a widescreen multiplayer game, 3 on top row and 3 on bottom, plus a 7th controller as a master controller of sorts.o'dium wrote:Support for 7 pads...?
Thats a bit of an odd number, no?

why not make it 8
A Bluetooth device playing the role of "master" can communicate with up to 7 devices playing the role of "slave". At any given instant in time, data can be transferred between the master and one slave; but the master switches rapidly from slave to slave in a round-robin fashion. (Simultaneous transmission from the master to multiple slaves is possible, but not used much in practice). These groups of up to 8 devices (1 master and 7 slaves) are called piconets."

Doesn't sound too good. Actually, it sounds more like 5 or 6 games to me.backwards compatibility will be selective, with most but not all of the top selling games supported
