Why is he a moron? Pilots are trained to perform
crosswind landings precisely for this type of situation. Are you saying he should have aborted and gone in for another attempt later?

Now you see the problem with this is the preview doesn't show the wole image
Also you said we can use the old method but people will forget the code for that, with no-one's messages to edit to find it, and that old method does not allow full screen
