That's supposed to be a fairly reliable cheaper PSU. $90 for 500 watts. Also, the cables are all sleeved which really helps get all those cables out of the way.
I wouldnt use it.. dunno why, but FPS GROUP just isnt the kind of company id trust with 1000+$s of computer equipment

Lots of people have been happy and trouble-free with it.
Something I can't say about the Ultra at the top of this page.

And why wouldn't you trust them if you don't know why? :dork:

to me, they are a noname company.. not because i havent heard of them, but because they are "new" to the whole scene..

Might be a great product, but i sure wouldnt risk it, ill be damned if im plugging a 400$ video card into a cheapy PSU made by some new company..

Are ISA slots even able to be used now? Shit, they were outdated back when I had my 486 DX4100.

surprisingly, yes some server boards still include an ISA slot to cater to the shops that have 1980's ISA serial cards powering proprietary control systems for CNC machines, mfg, modems, etc :icon27:

Just for reference

There is a big difference from buying a cheap PSU and buying a proper one.

Cheap PSU's have "Peak Wattage" and good ones have something like "Actual wattage". If you bought a 600w cheap and a 600w known brand one then the cheap PSU, wont output 600w, definatly not.

For example, ive got something stupid like a 650w psu, but i've worked out its about as good as a 420w good psu.

Hey if anyone actually buy's one of these things let me know, I may just have to get one.

I would like someone to give me a personal review on one before I buy it. I will let one of you be the Ginny pig first. :)

Good luck. Reviews rarely pick up on actual user experiences. Many people have had the Ultra PSU kill their system. Just hope it doesn't do the same to you.

SOAP, get a clue, noob.
