I used to watch NFL a lot when I was younger but it seems like every year they just add in more fucking rules. The players are turning into pansies. There's more time spent watching coaches humming-and-hah'ing and listening to the commentators lambast the shitty rules than there is actual fucking game play. Don't most "1 hour games" last 3 hours? Also it's nice how every square inch of every single object that has to do with NFL is plastered with advertisements for shit products that are made in china. Just a cluster fuck of ugly fucking shit, both audio and visual. I'd rather eat my own vomit. I've taken to watching rugby lately (mostly live, but on TV sometimes), I like how the plays don't stop unless it's out of bounds. Also, the complete lack of padding makes it a bit more exciting. The rules are kind of nice for a change, and you can get some faster paced games with the 7s rule-set. Also the players just wear boring shit like yellow or blue jerseys, shorts and shoes, and not $5000 worth of armor.

So what exactly is "entertaining" about American football...where the majority of the time nothing is happening? Is it the game ticker at the bottom of the screen that captivates your attention? Are yardage measurements really that exciting to you? Or is it like NASCAR where the audience is only waiting for ambulances to go onto the field?

Considering your views on UFC, I'm guessing you are exactly that type.

I've never watched more than 3 laps in a row. And even that wasn't on purpose.

Sounds vastly different than football, right? I guess the rules for rugby are too fast-paced or complex to follow for you? Or are you afraid of strong, sweaty men stuffing their heads up each others' asses during the scrum? Hell, I think sometimes they even slap each other on the ass!
