Not to be a total and complete cunt (which I really want to be right now but will refrain from doing so) but I feel I must point out that - in the craziest bit of timing for the purposes of comparison - a mass...uhm....attack by a nutjob happened wherein the attacker did not have a gun and only had a knife. It has been linked to twice in this thread, so you can't miss it. Don't you think maybe that is where the focus should be? Or should we just focus on guns and then pardon anyone who goes around stabbing children because "at least he didn't use a gun?"
You can kill people with a gun, with a knife, with a bomb... you can just drive your car into them. There's as many ways to kill a person as there are people or organizations to blame.
None of that matters. None of that will fix anything. The world we live in is very connected. We live in cities of millions of people. If people can't get help when they need it, their actions will impact others.
Keep on fixating on legal gun acquisition though. It's not like I could go out tomorrow and buy a fully automatic weapon off craigslist. Oh wait, I totally could.
