Still, if a person, a relative of a friend of mine would have died, whom I have never met, I'd still something in the lines of "I'm sorry for your loss, is there anything I can do to help, call me of you want to talk".

Insensatez, are you now going to argue that non Christians can't celebrate Christmas anymore? Or Easter? Or should we give up the tradition of lighting fireworks on New year's eve because we don't believe in evil Chinese spirits?

Back on subject, Neil Armstrong was undoubtedly an important figure. His boldness has led humanity to great discoveries in space exploration and the attributes of the moon, and set new boundaries that had never before been surpassed. Anything could have easily gone awry during the journey - but Neil didn't let "what-if's" act as obstacles to his mission.

He's a profound figure not only in the field of space exploration but also as a splendid role model for generations afterwards. Rest in peace man.

The New Year's Day you celebrate is Roman or Pagan. Chinese New Year follows a month later.

No, I won't object to families with children to celebrate Christmas or Easter, as long as they don't involve the whole birth and respectively uprising of the Lord Jesus Christ, savior of us all, and jam it down kids undevelloped and easily manipulatated brains. Getting toys, having shiny lamps and large tree full of presents and looking for chocolate eggs are fun for kids.

I can't recall any of my family members ever linking that to any spiritual experience, not even the grandparents.

I've stopped celebrating Christmas and Easter at the age of 12.

I do like fireworks though, not because it kicks off the new year in our Christian calendar, but because they come in such nice shapes and colors and make a loud bang at the end

It started as being roman, but Christians set its starting date, day zero, at the birth of some dude they worship.
