olympic security, political ticker, and angry mormons are pretty legit clicks i think. the autistic hiker was admittedly a pretty shit story.

Honestly, just watched ep 4 and the series is deteriorating a bit.
More focus on newsy Jeff Daniels shit, less on romanticy interest between characters I don't give a shit about anyway, please.

We are now soul mates.
No, don't fight it.
Just let it happen.

I pitch, never receive.
But yeah...The Newsroom looks like it has the potential to become another "Cop Rock": a show that discusses serious and profound things in society but gets taken over and drowned in its own bullshit.

cop rock? that's a bit harsh. more likely to become another Studio 60 - where the Profound Things themselves take over the show and characters and plot get pushed out to make room for more retroactive outrage about whatever happened three years ago.

All ballsy at first, and then whither out, like a 90 year old's cock getting all viagra'd up, and then stumped to death by concerned and outraged housewives/conservatives.
It's what "the people" want; all this controversy and questioning "the system" is all well and good, but now I want to see Snookie's butt.

The last episode was pretty good.
All things considered, I'm loving Sam Waterston's character.

Just watched the last 2 episodes.
Its a good show, but I also discovered why I hate it a bit.
The show always starts with frivolous bullshit between characters you dont give a shit about.
Fuck eachother already, or get the fuck out of my face.
Then in the second half, shit gets interesting. Newsy stuff you know about, and Aaron Sorkin gives his opinion on.
Thats the stuff I want to see, although often he, Aaron Sorkin, really desperately bends shit to fit his misguided way.
Also, although I like the Sam Waterstons character in this, I aggressively dislike bowties.
Bowties is saying LOOK WHAT A MOTHERFUCKING COLOURFUL PERSON I AM.

ive watched all the episodes so far, but i dont think ill watch much longer. they put in just enough news stuff to keep you awake, but its drowning in relationship/love triangle bullshit thats just one dimensional with obvious outcomes...

knowing Sorkin none of the relationships will be resolved until the series finale. i'm hoping it will catch up to present-day pretty soon and then start to have a plot beyond "hey, remember when this thing happened. pretty crazy, right?"
