I'm sure there's a thread on female fashion somewhere on the internet you can contribute to Duumbrain.
Not sure though.

I hate to say this, Tsakali, but the best people in the world at things generally tend to be pretty good at the things they're best in the world in. They tend to be a lot better than the next best person, even, mostly on account of the fact that they're the best in the world.
I don't want to point out that your logic is a bit silly, but that logic is precisely the same as saying "THANKS FOR COMING OUT LOSERS!" to anyone at London 2012 who finishes after Usain Bolt.
You give the startling impression that you don't really have any idea what you're talking about.
right, so it was a terrible match up. So instead of canceling the fight, they got someone knowingly completely unprepared to fill the gap... I can understand that being the case for a filler fight, but this was a title fight right? So when they blatantly set up a shitty fight for the title, I'm supposed to still applaud? Mir must have known he was not up to it, yet he accepted the payday regardless of the fact that his performance was poor in a very premeditated way. He belittled himself, the fans, and the sport in agreeing to do this.
The peeps at London 2012, are going to compete with the supposition that they can actually achieve something... SO no, what I'm upset about is nothing like what you're accusing me of.
Honestly man, it's not embarrassing or sinful to just not argue something for the sake of it. You don't really have any understanding of what you're talking about.
Like LawL has already said, Mir was the number two seed. He had won his last three fights, including a highlight reel submission of the greatest BJJ fighter the heavyweight division has ever seen; the first person to ever submit him; also the first person to knock him out.
They can't "cancel" a fight, what are you talking about? The tickets are sold, the venue is booked and the PPV slot is paid for. When someone steps in for a fight, they do so with everyone accepting the fact that the alternate has had very little time to train for that opponent. As an example, one of my best friends, an MMA fighter named Nick Chapman, recently fought Jimi Manuwa for the British title on short notice. He knew he wasn't ready, but he also knew he had a chance to win. That's the difference between a warrior and you; the difference between you and Mir. Your accepting that you aren't ready isn't based on moral superiority, it's based on lack of skill, confidence, ability, and belief.
Ironically, in Mir's speech after beating Nog the first time, he said he didn't believe he could ever beat him. He said something like "It's big Nog!". Yet he did. He destroyed him with a punch. He ended it by saying you have to believe in yourself because you can achieve anything if you do. I'd imagine that was his mindset going into the JDS fight.
And he didn't belittle anything, if you think that's the case then you have no credibility in this argument. You didn't anyway, so no loss.
As I alluded earlier, it's not a loss to just accept that you're wrong and move on. You're arguing a point you clearly know nothing about.

What's worse, turning a fight down straight up or, facing the consequences of defeat?
lets ask Nightshade... do you ever go into a fight you know you're gonna lose?
Have you ever been in a fight? I'm guessing no.
No fighter that I know ever walks into the cage thinking that they can't win. But, that doesn't mean that they wouldn't take a fight if they thought the odds weren't in their favor. What kind of loser fucktard does that? Ever heard of challenging yourself? Pushing your limits? FFS, LawL's right, you have precisely ZERO understanding of ANYTHING to do with MMA. Just shut up.

lol, you questioned if I've ever been in a fight, as if getting in a street fight is anything like a professional bout.
Yes I premeditate and train for getting into streetfights, I go into it with a calm head, totally no emotion involved and a clear plan of what I want to do...When I get into a streetlight, I think about my opponent's well documented abilities and act accordingly

I read it that he was asking if you've ever been in a competitive fight, as in MMA.
If you haven't fought, and you haven't really trained to any significant level, or been around anyone who has, you probably shouldn't speak as if you're some intangible authority regarding what goes through the mind of an athlete during competition.

No, I read it in the context of the thread, which is about the UFC.
I know in your mind you're doing that online thing where you pretend that nobody is a match for your punishing and acerbic wit, but you really do just look like a bit of a tosser.

Not sure if you've been paying attention but I never claimed authority on the subject, and never kept beating on a dead horse as you previously claimed. I was actually voicing my opinion on the subject. then a bunch or eHards came on and had themselves a nice circle jerk. But unlike them, I'm not beyond reproach , as every post of mine was a concise reply to every bit of opinion that has been presented.
And no I'm not an mma pro, I'm a fan. SO you deemed necessary to go beyond that fact, and generalize on my comprehension on athletic competition in general. You're tossing up a lot more veggies than I ever did in this thread. But look I get it, this is a popularity contest , so anything that doesn't fit in that spectrum, simply won't see the light of day here.

You could save people a lot of time if you'd just shorten all of your posts to "MURR".
