the gameplay trailer looked pretty good, watching conan pound on some random geezers just hanging around in the wilderness

font too modern though?

I've not played an oblivion game before though and am really not sure what to expect other than "ZOMGAH FTW PWNAGE" or something like that

No? Ah they're tons of fun, time vortex type of games.

Do it up man. I thought Oblivion was fucking dumb at first but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and sunk many hours into it. Has good replay value too cuz of all the different character classes and the sheer size of the world. I don't even think I did the main quest, I just ran into the forest and started fucking around. Being a thief and a murderer... tons of fun.

Its more than that emka:
You probably already knew that you were going to sink a significant portion of your life into Skyrim, but did you know that the game is capable of delivering an infinite number of quests?

Skyrim director Todd Howard recently told Wired that Skyrim features a never-ending stream of procedurally generated content. “The world is probably the one thing that sets [Skyrim] apart from other games,” he said. “It feels really real for what it is…It’s just fun to explore.”

As Wired explained the feature, Skyrim will randomly generate new tasks for players based on their progress through the game. For example, an innkeeper might have you hunt for bandits in an unexplored cave while an aspiring alchemist asks you to collect plant matter. Likewise, all of the game’s Guilds will feature radiant quests – having you steal gems or assassinate random individuals – after you complete their scripted quest lines.

Just had a quick go on it, doing the opening segment and getting into the world proper. All good so far and thankfully no texture-related issues that seemed to be a problem on the 360. Nice interface, everything is working as you want it and the world looks to be just as massive as you expect. Lots of PC-specific graphic options too. See you all next year.

The infinite quest system sounds like the same bullshit grindy quests most people complain about in other games. It's a nice variation of repeatable daily quests in WoW.

Depends, I heard it's designed to send you places on the map you haven't visited before which would be cool.

PS3 vs 360 compared. PS3 really looks better, but of course the loaded PC option still wins.

You sure get through games fast. Look out for the side quest called life.
