No, it's just been delayed. Done when done. Word is, it's been moved to July.

i'd sure be in a rush to change everyones icon just to add a hat, then have to change it all back a few weeks later

I think Doomer generally treats it as an occasion to actually feel slightly inclined to fulfill icon requests afterwards. But only slightly.

The reason I don't want a christmas icon is because once DooMer gets around to giving you one, you're sure as hell stuck with it for the rest of the year

i keep getting some dumb error when i try to play the new QL maps (that humungous 8-a-side xmas CTF looks like it could be fun though, if only it would load)

You are aware that while the browser's open with the Quake Live site loaded that it downloads the game content in the background (if you haven't got it yet)?

that was great, until the game started crashing after every 2 or 3 games and deleting my config files...
