Thats the thing though, it doesn't evolve at all. If anything, if devolves, removes everything that was good about it and only the crap remains.

But hey you're right, it's only my opinion and people can listen to what they want.

Brisk - Inner City Life was one of the songs of my schooldays... I haven't listened to that in ages. Still sounds great.

Haha ain't that the truth :)
all that 303 twitching gets on one's nerves just a bit... and just :olo: at his mixing skills in that set

the track from about minute 21 to 24 is a proper oldskool techno classic mind :!:
ooh and energy flash at minute 4, lulz

i think you misunderstood lol

that set and the tracks in it are infinitely better than anything produced today imo. it's just a classic, raw, old skool sound with proper heavy production. i love it.

here is another, this time with some choice early uk techno tracks.

If you're looking for a keyboard on the cheap that does everything check out this one. It only cost me $96 from a local Guitar Center.

aight i'm sorta itching to get a midi keyboard now, but the cheapest pcr-300 i found was for $200 used (local).

my question is - do u actually use the velocity pads or can i do fine without them?

Depends how you want to produce. I've made loads of tracks without a midi keyboard, just entering notes in the midi editior manually, along with velocity etc... but i've always been more hands on than spontaneous/improv style.

Any cheap midi controller will do if you're just starting out. Learning the program and what everything does is more important than the keyboard you use to create the notes with at first.

They were just a bonus for me as I wanted keys and free turning knobs (as opposed to stepping). But I think its cool having a little bit of everything to play with.
