CHILLI RECIPE +WARNING
Killians is a weak beer? Damn I've never really looked into beer's alcoholic content...judging by what I have found so far I'm going to have a lot of experimentation to do in 5 months.R00k wrote:Yea, you just dump it all in together in a large pot and cook it around med-high for an hour or two. Unless you're using dry beans like ajerara said (but i'm assuming you're probably using cans), then you have to cook them first or at least put plenty of water in it.bitWISE wrote: Holy fucking christ that sounds good. I think I will have to make some of that minus the peppers. Would a lager like killians work for the beer?
Oh and I've never made chili. Do you just dump all that shit into a pot and let it cook for a few hours?
Killians works pretty well actually for a weaker beer. I can't imagine why you'd want to leave out the peppers though!

This mixup for clilly is kinda cheap, but it really is good and easy.
2lbs. Ground beef
1/4 of a finely minced onion
2 cans Light red and 2 cans Dark red kidney beans
2 cans Diced tomatos
1 can Diced Green and Red Chillies
1 can Tomato sauce
2 packages of Frenches Rgular/Original Chilly seasoning
1 1/2 tbsp. Chilli pouder
1/2 tbsp. Cyanne pouder
1 tsp. Crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp. Curry pouder
1/4 tsp. Tumuric pouder
1/4 tsp. Course black pepper
1/4 tsp. Garlic
Fry Ground beef adding minced onion at start.
Add light and dark red kidney beans, diced tomatos, diced green and red chilies, tomato sauce to pot and mix.
Drain Ground beef when fully cooked trying not to loose any of the diced onion and add to pot.
Add Frenches chilli seasoning, chilli pouder, cyanne pouder, crushed red pepper, curry pouder, tumuric pouder, coarse black pepper and garlic to pot and mix.
Let it stew or simmer for about 20 to 30 minuits on medium low heat stiring often to keep it from sticking to the bottom.
Then serve it up!
Other ideas:
Once Chilli is finished
In a 9"x12"x2" baking pan (perferably glass) crush up Ritz or Butter Club Crackers in bottom of pan. Make sure to cover the bottom well.
Pour Chilli over crackers untill pan is almost full.
Cover Chilli well with shredded Mild Cheddar cheese ( You can also place several Jalapino rings on top as well if you like)
Bake on 300 for about 15 to 20 minuites.
Let it cool for about 15 minuits then cut and serve.
Hope you like!

Dear Pete,
Your thread got derailed but I notice there seem to be some good chili recipes in it so I hope you don't mind. How goes the marketing/patent business?
Did you notice how Kracus is afraid to post a picture of himself? He must be pretty average or ugly wouldn't you say pete?
Good evening my friends

LoL this insecurity issue is in your head puff. I'm not don juan but I'm not ugly. I get some pretty nice skin on a regular basis and I do alright for us average looking joes. I'll take a pic of myself tonight when I Get home. I've never had a camera before but I got this little cameraphone and it does the job, crappy job but a job nontheless. Keep your pants on, cause I'll have you post one of you before I post mine.
