Seriously man, don't make me whup your arse again. It's not a fair fight.

I'll admit I was a big fan of Myst and Riven back when they came out (the acting sucks so much in the later ones they're not so great). I'm also a HUGE Morrowind geek; the whole business of exploring the landscape on one mission, and then just happening across a whole other thing to do or new location to explore was brilliant (plus the first time I came across one of the dust storms was a personal gaming high point)

TBH I'm not saying anything as simplistic as half of you are making out (don't blame Kletus, he can't handle any concept above the blatantly obvious). I'm just pointing out that the shooting mechanic, while fun, is a pretty simplistic and juvenile way to interact with the environment; and it's become such a staple that as long as you can shoot things, developers can get away without giving you anything more interesting to do.

Splinter Cell too. I downloaded the demo of Chaos Theory yesterday, the controls take some getting used to, but it has some promise. I might get it when the price goes down.

Half Life 2 has puzzles and in the first 20 mins of the game all you do is walk around wondering wtf is going on... actually those were my thoughts during the first 4 hours of the game.
