I don't think that's true as the one used was on a resort that didn't have any warning except you can't stay too long. Staying for a long time can dehydrate you, for more then 40 min or whatever. I was in there for like hours playing cards and drinking.

just read wikipedia and it says that you should ignore any signs posted. you can stay in a sauna as long as you like, you can stay in a sauna as long as you feel comfortable.

Anyway, the Suedes have been doing it for ages and every spa, does the same thing. Don't think it's bad of your health...

MYTH. I haven't read all the responses, so I am sure its already been said. Colds are caused by rhinoviruses. Not cold weather. Now, if you are chronically cold or exposed to the elements, you might get some immunosupression and be more sucsceptible to infection...but the cold weather/wet hair/etc. doesn't "cause" the cold.

Yeah probally didn't want you to stay there for a long time.

That's what I thought after I found out the hair fact, thanks for clearing that up for me.

I've been working outside in below freezing temps and been soaked completely with saltwater and never gotten sick from it. But, I'm not really succeptable to getting sick. Also go out in cold weather regularly with wet hair.
